we have been going to the beach house for years now. it has been a place of solace + respite for our family. we find peace there. the house. the beach. the wind. the rain. the sunshine. we spend hours playing board games against the dark blanket of the night sky where we can see, on occasion, beacons peering through the dark from the sea bound ships. we celebrate our togetherness with wholesome, bountiful food + drink. we listen to music. we snuggle on the sofa + watch the sun set in to the sea. we awaken to the sound of birds + the faint whispers of the ocean beckoning us to the shore. we fly kites. oh how we fly kites! we meander to the waters' edge, pulling the cart which carries our sundries. we dance our fingers over the blades of grass on the trail — listening for the secrets they have to share. sometimes it’s stormy. sometimes the sun offers it’s warmth. one thing we can always count on though, is the energy of the ocean — that from which we pull + carry inside of us. we are grateful for this special place. our hearts become full. our bodies rested + nourished. our connectedness reborn. until we meet again our cherished friend. thank you for gifting us so many wonderful treasures.
